Offbeat wedding stationery inspired by block prints, henna design, and old school Madhubani style paintings.
Planning a wedding and working a full time job is hard enough, let alone designing your own invites! Not gonna lie, it was stressful, but somehow this collection came together.
Knowing that I had to use some traditional elements like a Ganesha, my goal was integrate it without having the whole invite feel outdated. From color to illustration style, this whole set is all about mixing and matching. Once I create the Madhubani Rani insert, I knew the collection was complete. Yes, there is a complementary Raja too (not seen below).
This suite was printed mostly by engraving which gives a very textural feel to the stationery. The ink is raised off the paper, almost emulating how henna would be applied to your hand.
