Finally. The day had come. The moment we had been planning for, and I had so many mixed emotions. I remember waking up feeling scared, nervous, and anxious. My stomach felt like a giant knot while I was getting ready but the second I saw Jai that knot disappeared. I saw his face and everything faded away. With a hug, the painful planning and stress vanished and I felt like myself again. We didn't have to say a single word because we knew what we felt was stronger than any words we could possibly say.
Here are the moments, the details, the emotions—perfectly captured to highlight our day.
I have learned so much from this whole process. No one can really prepare you for it. Trying to fuse Indian & American was not as successful as I would've wanted it, but hindsight is 50/50... so stay tuned for the next post titled, 'Things I Would've Done Differently'. It'll be a long one ;)
This day would not have been possible without the help of our family, friends, and wonderful vendors that made it happen.
